Seeking blessings from the face of Muhammad (pbuh).

On the authority of Ibn Asaq, on the authority of Zalhumah bin 'Urfutah, who said, 'I once arrived in Makkah. Due to famine, people were in a very poor and dangerous condition. The Quraysh said to Abu Talib, 'O Abu Talib! The Arabs faced extreme famine. Let's all pray to Allah for rain. After hearing this, Abu Talib went out with a boy (Balak Nabi (ï·º)). The boy seemed like a clouded sun in the sky, from which the thick clouds seemed to separate. There were other boys around that boy, but this boy's face seemed to radiate this characteristic.

Abu Talib took the boy by the hand and led him to the Kaaba and asked him to stand with his back against the wall of the Kaaba. The boy stood holding the fingers of his uncle's hand. At that time there was not even a cloud in the sky. But in no time, the sky was covered with clouds and it was getting dark and it started raining in torrents.

The rainfall was so high that the valleys were flooded and the cities and deserts were revitalized. In view of this incident Abu Talib sang the praises of Muhammad (ï·º):

وأبيضَ ÙŠُستسقى الغَÙ…َام بوجهه ** Ø«ِمالُ اليتامى عِصْÙ…َØ©ٌ للأرامل

Meaning: 'She is very beautiful. The rain of mercy is sought by His countenance Mubarak. He is the refuge of orphans and the protector of husbands.

Sheikh Abdullah Mukhtasarus Seerah 15 and 6 pages.
