Rebuilding the Kaabah and resolving disputes regarding Hajre Aswad

Rebuilding the Kaabah and resolving disputes regarding Hajre Aswad

When the Prophet (ï·º) reached the age of thirty-five, the Quraysh began the rebuilding of the Kaaba. Because the site of the Kaabah was surrounded by walls. There was no roof over the walls. Taking advantage of this situation, a number of thieves entered it and stole many valuable treasures and ornaments. The height of this house was 9 cubits since the reign of Ismail (as).

Due to the fact that the house was built a long time ago, there were cracks in the walls and it was prone to collapse at any moment. Moreover, in that year Makkah was flooded, and the water stream towards the Kaaba was created. Moreover, due to the flow, the wall of the Kaaba' has deteriorated and there is a danger of it collapsing at any moment. In the context of such a fragile situation, the Quraish were determined to rebuild the Ka'bah to preserve its place and dignity.

For the purpose of building the Kaabah house, the Quraish of all the tribes came together and collectively decided some principles. They are respectively: Only legal resources (Halal) shall be used in building the Kaaba'ah. In this, money earned through prostitution, interest money and any money collected by forfeiture of rights shall not be used for construction work. All these principles are strongly supported and preparations are made to start the construction work. Construction of new buildings requires demolition of old buildings. But no one dares to start demolishing the House of God, and finally Waleed bin Mughirah Makhumi was the first to demolish it and others watched in horror. But after breaking some parts, when they saw that no danger befalls him, they all joined in the work of breaking it. The foundation of Ibrahim (A.S.) was demolished and construction began. It was decided in the morning which tribe would build which part so that every tribe would get a chance to participate in the construction work. In view of this, each tribe collected stones differently. Construction was progressing under the supervision of a Rumian mason named Bakum. When the construction work reached the black stone site

Then a new problem arose. The issue is about who will achieve the great honor of placing the 'Hazare Aswad' i.e. the 'Black Stone'. Quarrels and arguments about this continued for four or five days.

All are adamant that he or his tribe should place the Krishna stone in its proper place. Everyone has one thing, they will do this work. No one is willing to make even a small concession. Everyone has the same words, the same insistence. Stubbornness gradually turned into rivalry. The next stage of the race is bloodshed. They will not hesitate to draw blood. Saj Saj Rob is going on in all tribes. The weapons drill has begun. The moderates are all terrified of who knows when war will break out.

In the context of such a terrible situation, the senior leader Abu Umayya Makhoomi found a solution to this problem. He proposed to everyone that the person who enters the Masjid al-Haram first tomorrow morning should be entrusted with the responsibility of settling this dispute. All expressed support for this proposal. What great glory of God! It was seen that Al-Amin, the beloved and revered of all Arabs, was the first to enter Masjid al-Haram. Seeing the Prophet (ï·º) coming like this, everyone shouted:
