Arrival of Jibraeel (pbuh) to Muhammad (pbuh).
Arrival of Jibraeel (pbuh) to Muhammad (pbuh).
When the 40th year of the age of Nabi Kareem (ﷺ) was completed - this is the age of maturity of man and it is said that this age is the suitable age for prophets to receive prophethood - then some clear signs of prophethood began to appear. Those signs were manifesting through dreams in the early stages. Whenever he had a dream it would appear like Subhay Sadek. Six months passed through this condition The forty-sixth part of the period of Prophethood and the period of Prophethood was twenty-three years. After that, when he was absorbed in uninterrupted meditation in Heraghuha, and thus day after day, month after month, and year after year continued to pass, Allah Ta'ala wished to shower His mercy on the people of the world. Then Allah bestowed the great honor of Prophethood on Muhammad (ﷺ) by sending down some verses of His Holy Qur'an through Rabbul Alamin Jibreel (A.S.). It will be possible to know the actual date and time of the arrival of Jibraeel (as) only by deeply understanding the evidence related to various events. Based on our findings, it can be said that this incident took place on the night of Tuesday 21st in the month of Ramadan. According to Christian reckoning the day was 10th August 610 AD. The age of Nabi Kareem (ﷺ) was 40 years and 6 months and 2 days according to the lunar month and 39 years 3 months and 20 days according to the solar calendar.
Let us now know the details from the narration of Umm al-Mu'minin Ayesha (RA). It was a ray of light like a natural light or heavenly light, which with its revelation dispels the darkness of unbelief and corruption, changes the course of life and changes the course of history and creates new chapters. Aisha (RA) said, "The revelation was revealed to Rasulullah (SAW). In the dream state of sleep, whatever dream he saw would appear like the morning ray. Then gradually he became fond of solitude. He stayed in the Hira cave to facilitate meditation in uninterrupted solitude. He used to spend night after night without returning home, engaged in devotional worship and deep meditation. For this he used to take food and drink with him. When all that was over, he would return home again.
Taking food and drink with him as before, he would again go to the Hera cave and meditate. Thus he remained in the solitude of Heraghu until the truth was revealed to him through revelation.
Thus, one day when he was meditating, Allah's Messenger Jibraeel (A.S.) came to him and said, "You read". He said, 'I am not in the habit of reading.' Then he held him very tightly and hugged him and let go and said, 'You read.' He said again, "I don't have the habit of reading". Then, after hugging me for the third time, he let go and said 'Read-
Meaning: Recite in the name of the Lord who created man from a lump of blood. Read in the name of the Lord who is Most Merciful to you.''
Then with the verses of revelation in his heart, Nabi Kareem (ﷺ) returned to Khadija bint Khowalid with a somewhat restless and throbbing heart and said, “Clothe me, clothe me.” Khadijah (ra) clothed him while he was lying down. After staying like this for a while, when his restlessness and heart palpitations subsided, he was his Hera informs the consort about the incident in the cave. Noticing his restlessness and agitation, Khadijah (RA) reassured him and said, 'Don't be afraid, you should be patient. Allah will never insult you. You maintain good relations with relatives
let's go He tried to relieve the needy. Provides shelter to the helpless. Cares for guests, offers hospitality to guests and helps debtors to pay off their debts. Surely Allah will not disgrace you.
Then Khadijah (RA) took him to her cousin Waraqah bin Nawfal bin Asad bin Abdul Uzzah. During the Jahiliyyah, Orka converted to Christianity and learned to read and write Hebrew. At one time he wrote books in Hebrew. But at the time in question he had become very old and blind. Khadijah (RA) said to him, 'Brother, listen to your nephew. He seems to be talking and fidgeting.'
Araka said, 'Nephew, what did you see? what happened to you
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) narrated to Araka in detail what he had witnessed and what had happened in Hiraguha.
After hearing all the above, Araka said in a surprised voice, 'This is the man who also came to Musa (A.S.)'.
Then he continued to say, 'Alas! Alas! If only I were strong and alive on the day when your kindred and kindred will oppress you in many ways and drive you out of the land.' After hearing this from Araka's mouth, the Prophet (ﷺ) was surprised and asked, 'Aki! Will they expel me from the country?'
Waraka said, 'Yes, they will definitely expel you from the country.' He added, 'Not only your words, many such incidents have happened in the past. Whenever a saintly man appeared in the society as a bearer of truth, his own people oppressed him in various ways, tortured him and expelled him from the country.' He also said, 'Remember that if I am alive till then I will help you in every way.' But shortly afterwards Oraka fell to his death. In this direction, the coming of revelation also stopped temporarily.
Hafez Ibn Hajar says that Bayhaqi cites the incident that the duration of the dream was six months. Therefore, prophethood through dreams began in the month of Rabiul Awal after the completion of forty years. which was his birth month. But revelations started coming to him in the month of Ramadan while he was awake. Month and date of the beginning of revelation: There is considerable disagreement among historians regarding the month and date of receiving the revelation of the Prophet (PBUH) and being awarded the great status of prophethood. Most of the narrators agree that the month was Rabiul Awal. But another group says that the month was Ramadan
mubarak Some also say that the month was Rajab. (Note - Mukhtasarus 'Sirah' by Shaykh Abdullah page 75) We find the opinion of the second group to be more acceptable, i.e. those who say that it was revealed in the month of Ramadhan because Allah, the Exalted, said in the Holy Qur'an:
{شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِي أُنْزِلَ فِيهِ الْقُرْآنُ} ( البقرة : ১৮৫) {إِنَّا أَنْزَلْنَاهُ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ} (القدر : ১)
Another reason to accept the second opinion is that the Prophet (PBUH) used to stay in the cave of Hera during the month of Ramadan and it is also known that Jibraeel (A.S.) used to come there, moreover those who say that the revelation was revealed in the month of Ramadan differ as to the date on which it was revealed. expressed his opinion. Some say it was revealed on the 7th of Ramadan, some say the 17th, some say it was revealed on the 18th (Note - Mukhtasarus Sirah 75
p., Rahmatullah Alamin Vol. 1 p. 49) Allama Khuzari has stated very strongly that the date was the 17th of Ramadhan (Effect - Tarikh Khuzari Vol. 1 p. 69 and Tariqutashariul Islami
In my opinion, the 21st of Ramadan is acceptable because, although there is no one in favor of it, most of the narrators agree that the day of Prophethood of the Prophet (peace be upon him) was on a Monday. This is supported by the narration of Abu Qatadah, when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was asked about fasting on Monday, he replied, “This is the day on which I was born and to me I was given prophethood by revelation.''(Sahihul Muslim Sharif 1st Vol. 368 p., Musnad Ahmad 297 p., Bayhaqi 4th Vol. 286 and 300 p., Hakim 2nd Vol. 266 p.). In that month of Ramadan, Mondays occurred on the 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th. In this regard, it has been proven and recognized in the sources of Sahihul Hadith that the holy night of Qadr is observed only on the odd nights in the last ten days of the month of Ramadan. Now we are aware from the Holy Quran that Allah Ta'ala said, {إِنَّا أَنْزَلْنَاهُ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ} (القدر: 1) Moreover, according to the hadith source narrated by Abu Qatada, it is known that the Prophet (peace be upon him) received prophethood on Monday. According to the third source, according to the calendar, any date in the month of Ramadan that year was Monday. Therefore it is definitely known that Nabi Kareem (PBUH) became Prophet on the night of 21st Ramadan. So this was the first date of revelation.
Until the verses were revealed. عَلَّمَ الْإِنْسَانَ مَا لَمْ يَعْلَمْ}
